Substrate: cereal β-glucans. The enzyme hydrolyses links β-1-3 and links β-1,4-glucosides in the β-glucans.
Physical state, particle size:
HELM Quadrazyme is a slightly yellowish powder, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.
Particle sizes: more than 90% through 0,05-0,16 mm.
Manufacturing process:
HELM Quadrazyme is manufactured according to a fermentation process from a selected strain of Aspergillus niger C-25.
Usage
Both enzymes are used as a technological additive. Its action must be associated to target raw materials rich in N.S.P namely cereals such as wheat and barley. It counteracts the antinutritive properties of -glucans and pentosans. This problem can be solved by addition of HELM Quadrazyme.
Efficacy studies have shown that its incorporation into poultry feed improved the metabolisable energy and growth performances of target raw materials: wheat and barley.
We recommend the use of HELM Quadrazyme in poultry feed containing a minimum level of 20% target raw products (wheat/barley).
Minimum dose of HELM Quadrazyme in poultry would then be 15 ppm for feed containing wheat, and 20 ppm for feed containing barley.
For practical use we recommend a premix which is used with 150-250 g/mt.
Other concentrations are available on request.
Advantages of NSP-degrading enzymes in animal nutrition
Wheat, barley and other cereals have a higher nutritional value
Improved feed conversion and more uniform performance
Improved litter quality and housing hygiene
Less environmental pollution
Greater flexibility in using feed components
Low-cost cereals can be used earlier or in larger amounts
More homogeneous feed quality ensures better performance
